MDX Lacrosse Tour
Maryland Express will visit the UK for 10 days and the return visit to the USA will be of the same duration. The visits usually take place at the end July/beginning of August.

Costs
In 2024 - there is a cost to host of approximately £400. This covers - transport, gifts, tour T-shirts, catering for arrival and farewell parties, referees/umpires, match day refreshments, kit which can be used for 2025 too. The total figure is subject to change and will also depend on the amount of fundraising the group can do.

In 2025 – the visit to the USA is approximately £1500, but this will depend on flight costs.

What is Expected of the host family?
Each family will host one child.
MDX will play 5 games . You will need to provide transport to and from games for your player. Games may be in the morning, afternoon or evening.
MDX will spend 1 day as a group on a sightseeing tour. You will need to drop off and pick up your player.
Two days over a weekend (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) will be allocated for the host family to entertain your player. These could be trips to London, Wales, something more local etc.
There will be one day where the hosts and visitors will go to a theme park. You will need to deliver and pick up your child and host player.

The deadline for submission of the form is 16th April. We commit to select 10 boys and 10 girls from each club by the end of May. Unfilled places or increased numbers can then be discussed as necessary after this date.
