U14 Boy's v Norbury

This week the U14s took on Norbury at home.
First quarter
Norbury started well but couldn’t break down Timperley’s defence. Timperley then took total control of the game and dominated possession. A great run from Jim who passes on to Sam who sets up Owen, Timperley 1-0. Jim again wins the face runs up lays the ball off to Cai back to Jim goal. Exactly the same again 3-0. Norbury have a little joy in possession and goal number 54. Timperley fire straight back with some great work at the back from Hamza wins possession and Ben L picks up the ball onto Owen who sets up Cai goal. Again great defence from Hamza onto Owen who sets up Cai who finishes well. 5-1. A great individual goal from Noah sees Timperley end the quarter 6-1.
Second quarter
Norbury win possession early and break up field and win a penalty. Norbury Score on the man up play 6-2. Slack play from Timperley sees Norbury score again 6-3. Timeout blue. Norbury score and pull within 2. Timperley respond with Jim setting up Sam 7-3. Norbury respond quick to keep in touching distance.7-4.
Third quarter
Timperley start quickly and goals from Ben and Owen extend the lead but Norbury fire back with 2 goals 9-6. Timperley again start to dominate possession and 4 goals from Owen 2, Ben and Sam. End of quarter 13-6.
Forth quarter
Cai scores early to extend the lead but Norbury hit back before Noah rips through Norbury’s defence and fires past the keeper. Norbury fight back with 3 late goals but not enough to cause any problems. Final score 15-10

A great all round performance today but a special mention to Ben Lawton at the back and Jim Hartley in midfield for outstanding performances.
