1st game of the season

For the first game of the season Timperley played home against Liverpool. The first quarter started off strong with an assist from Sophie who passed to Nic and scored the first goal. Then it was Sophie’s turn, who received the ball from Emily before shooting. Emily also assisted Lucy who’s goal followed next. In total there were 8 goals scored by Timperley in the first quarter and none conceded.

8-0 up, Timperley went into the second quarter with confidence where some strong attack led Liverpool to give away a penalty, scored by Emma. Kat then scored her first goal of the game, followed by a second straight from the draw. Sarah also then scored her first goal of the season. However, Timperley then conceded their first goal after some strong attacking pressure from Liverpool. After three more goals from Timperley, the score at half time was 15-1.

After a solid team talk at half-time, Timperley scored another four goals in the third quarter coming from Lucy (2), Nic and Sarah. No goals were conceded by Timperley in this quarter thanks to a strong performance from defence including Charlotte, Emma and Dani and big saves from Georgia in goal.

In the final quarter Timperley scored one more time, when Lynsey passed to Nic. Liverpool put in a good fight with two goals leaving the final score 20-3.
