For their first away game of the season, Timperley headed over to play Sheffield which was set to be a wet muddy match. Both teams went into the first quarter fighting with lots of energy and determination to get the first goal. Sheffield got good possession off the draw but Timperleys defence kept good positioning to prevent many drivers from the opposition from scoring. Ground balls were challenging due to the weather conditions. With an even battle from both sides, the score was 2-2 at the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Timperley stepped it up, fighting harder to get the ball from the draw and winning back possession in the midfield using more energy saving techniques. Attack made good passes up the pitch and had some shots at goal resulting in 3 goals from Dani, Kat and Lucy. Defence continued to work effectively together, making appropriate slides and doubling the ball, meaning Timperely only conceded 1 goal in this quarter.

In the second half Timperley were keen to maintain their strong position and keep up the energy. Attack worked harmoniously to score some quick tactical goals, with 3 consecutively scored by Sarah assisted by Lucy. Good decisions were made by attack, whilst increasing the accuracy of shots which led to 12 goals scored by Timperley in the second half. Defence also kept up high pressure throughout the last two quarters with only 2 goals scored by Sheffield. Georgia was well protected in goal throughout but also made some great saves if drivers made their way through the defence. Unfortunately Timperley had one foul but the team held up well on the pitch, leaving the final score 17-5 to Timperley.
